In a study of 115 patients treated with Jewelweed, 108 responded most dramatically to the topical application of this herb and were entirely relieved of their symptoms within 3 days after starting treatment. It was concluded that Jewelweed was an excellent substitute for corticosteroids. It is also effective on poison oak, poison sumac, athlete’s foot, and insect bites. Wild gathered in Maine.
