In a study of 115 patients treated with Jewelweed, 108 responded most dramatically to the topical application of this herb and were entirely relieved of their symptoms within 3 days after starting treatment. It was concluded that Jewelweed was an excellent substitute for corticosteroids. It is also effective on poison oak, poison sumac, athlete’s foot, and insect bites.
